SI Gambling analyst Frankie Taddeo and Will Ragatz discuss Adam Theilen ahead of 2020 season
After being plagued by injuries throughout 2019, can Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen bounce back and clear his projected total by the sportsbooks in 2020?
After finishing as a top 10 wide receiver in 2017 and 2018, Adam Thielen struggled to stay healthy a season ago.Over the previous two seasons, Thielen posted a combined 204 receptions for 2,649 yards: roughly 1,325 yards on average. Those numbers were a stark contrast to Thielen’s 2019 where he missed six games and only racked up 30 catches for 418 yards. The Vikings have moved on from his wide receiver teammate Stefon Diggs and traded him to the Buffalo Bills. Replacing him is first-year wide receiver Justin Jefferson who is projected for 700 receiving yards in 2020 at several sportsbooks. If Thielen is healthy, he is the clear cut wide receiver in the Vikings offense, and according to SI Gambling analyst Frankie Taddeo’s projections, should land in a similar range to his 2017-2018 numbers.Check out the video for more analysis from Taddeo, as well as from SI Vikings insider Will Ragatz.
